Aquatic Facilities
All outdoor pools will open on the 1st of December each year and will remain open until the day following the Labour Day Holiday in March, as a minimum.
The swimming season may be extended at the discretion of the Contractor and Pools will be closed on Christmas Day. A minimum of two people on duty at any one time except at Tungamah* & Strathmerton where only one qualified lifeguard is required.
Children under the age of ten are required to have adult supervision in addition to the lifeguard.
All facilities are contracted out and managed by YMCA Victoria. Follow links below for further information.
Please note all Toddlers Pools are sheltered by shade cloth.
*Tungamah Swimming Pool is not a council managed facility.
Weather Policy
On days forecast over 38 degrees, the outdoor pools will remain open until 8pm.
On days forecast under 25 degrees, the outdoor pools will remain closed.
