Sports & Leisure Services

Moira Shire's Recreation Department is responsible for a number of services that council delivers including:

• The management of 26 Section 86 Recreation Reserve Committees of Management and a small number of non S86 Committees of Management.
• Maintenance of municipal skate parks; and
• The development of walking tracks and the implementation of recreation policies and procedures and active transport initiatives.

The Recreation Department also manages a council appointed contractor that operates Moira Shire's two sporting stadiums, waterslide and five outdoor swimming pools.
