Libraries

The Goulburn Valley Regional Library Corporation provides library services in Moira Shire with funding assistance provided by council.

Membership is free and entitles you to borrow books and other materials at branch libraries and mobile services. Books, tapes and magazines may be borrowed for four weeks. The book collection includes foreign language books, large print books and recreational paperbacks. A selection of popular periodicals and local newspapers are available at branch libraries.

Books and magazine articles that the Library does not hold are usually available through an inter-library loan service, which has access to libraries throughout Australia. The library also has a collection of audio and video tapes.

All Branch Libraries have photocopiers and computer access (both internet and word processing). 16mm film projectors, film screens, and overhead projectors are available for short term loan to community groups and for staff training through the Shepparton Library. Video machines and monitors are available through Cobram and Numurkah.

Each branch hosts a children's story time every school holidays, and Toddler Time is held monthly at some branches.

Rhyme Time & Preschool Story Time sessions are now being held at the libraries in Yarrawonga, Cobram, Numurkah & Nathalia.
